Oswego, N.Y. — The rescheduled times for the 66th Annual Race of Champions Weekend at the Oswego (N.Y.) Speedway on Saturday, October 29 have been set. The pit gates will open at 10:30am with practice starting and grandstand gates opening at 12:30pm. Racing will resume with any additional qualifying events to be run beginning at 2:00pm followed by the remaining features with the 66th Annual Race of Champions 250 scheduled to take the green at approximately 3:30pm.


Ryan Preece of Berlin, Conn., who races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and who earned a guaranteed starting position by winning the Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium in 2015 has stated he will be in attendance and ready to start behind those cars who have already qualified for the event.


S 51 TV Network red“We are looking forward to running this race,” stated Preece, who finished third in his last Race of Champions effort at Oswego in 2014. “It’s a race that we have always wanted to win and thank you to Eddie and Connie Partridge we will be there and have an opportunity to win an event that means so much to Modified racing.”


Qualifying positions remain open to all teams interested in participating in the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco, the Super Stock All-Star, which the top-16 have already been locked in. The previous criteria based on the original weekend is no longer in effect and any Super Stock team wishing to participate in the Super Stock All-Star is eligible to attend and start behind the top-16. The same is in place for any Small Block Supermodified team that wishes to compete.
