Race fans who are unable to attend Open Wheel Wednesday on June 27 at Seekonk Speedway (MA) can now purchase their live pay-per-view video tickets on Speed51.com. The highly-anticipated Tri-Track Open Modified Series race, as well as the Boston Louie Memorial for the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites, will be available to watch worldwide for $24.99.
This year’s broadcast will mark the second consecutive year that Speed51.com and Seekonk Speedway have partnered to bring this event to a live online audience. After a successful broadcast in 2017, both organizations are looking forward to bringing the ground-pounding Modified action to race fans once again this year.
Nearly 40 Tour-type Modified teams are currently entered for the $10,000-to-win race. The star-studded field will include defending race winner Matt Hirschman, NASCAR XFINITY Series winner Ryan Preece, recent New Hampshire Motor Speedway winner Ron Silk and more.
The Boston Louie Memorial, which is the biggest race of the year for the NEMA Midgets, is also expected to draw a strong field of drivers.
Speed51.com’s live broadcast will be a one-camera video feed with audio from the track’s public address system.
The live stream is scheduled to start at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET for Tri-Track Open Modified Series qualifying heats. From there, the broadcast will showcase all qualifying races and features for the three divisions competing that night.
There will be a 100-mile blackout in effect for race fans that live near the Seekonk, MA area.
