This weekend, Baer Field Motorsports Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana plays host to “The Crown Jewel,” a massive weekend of racing headlined by a unique 200-lap Modified feature which could see one driver walk away with $20,000 in winnings. Fans unable to make the trip to Fort Wayne will be able to watch both days of racing via a pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com.
The Crown Jewel Modified feature, sanctioned by the ICAR All-Star Modified Tour, will be contested in two parts on Sunday, July 7. The first 100 laps will take place on Baer Field’s ½-mile oval, with the final 100 laps contested on the 3/8-mile inner oval. Each 100-lap race offers its own purse, with $10,000 going to the winners of each race.
More than 60 Modifieds have entered the event, and you can see them all live on Speed51. Speed51’s pay-per-view broadcast will be available on both Saturday and Sunday at Baer Field, giving fans plenty of racing to watch this weekend.
Saturday’s racing schedule features the CRA Junior Late Model Series, a $5,000-to-win race for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks and preliminary heat races, B-Mains and Last Chance events for the ICAR Modifieds.
Sunday’s racing program includes the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, who will race for 100 laps around the ½-mile between the two legs of ICAR Modified racing.
All of this racing will be available at a great price, with pay-per-view tickets available for $14.99 on Saturday and $19.99 on Sunday. Fans can save $5 by purchasing a two-day pass for $29.99 to watch all of the weekend’s racing.
