One of Outlaw Kart racing’s biggest races, the QRC Speed51 Open, returns to Millbridge Speedway (NC) next week on May 21-22. For the fourth year in a row, Speed51 will stream the event for fans unable to make the trip to Salisbury, North Carolina for the event.
Both nights of racing at the event will be available for purchase for just $24.99. There will also be a one-day ticket for Wednesday’s racing for $19.99.
“We are thrilled once again for fans to watch the QRC Speed51 Open on Speed51,” said Millbridge Speedway co-owner Ashly Burnett. “It’s a chance each year to showcase our Outlaw Kart competitors to a worldwide audience.”
Tuesday’s Cook Out Night includes the Beginner Box Stock and Box Stock features, as well as a $1,000-to-win Open Division feature. Wednesday’s racing features the Intermediate Division, as well as the main event, the 51-lap Open Division feature.
Each year, more than 40 racers attempt to qualify for the Speed51 Open at Millbridge Speedway, the home of Outlaw Kart racing in North Carolina. The event also draws big-name stars such as Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series winner Kyle Larson, NHRA Pro Stock Champion Tanner Gray and 2018 USAC National Midget Champion Logan Seavey.
Along with the $5,151 winner’s payday for the Wednesday Open feature, competitors will be vying for other cash prizes such as $25 lap leader bonuses for every lap of the feature and, most notably, the Phantom Racing Chassis Back Row Bonus. The Back Row Bonus pays $25,000 if a driver accepts the challenge, forfeits his/her starting spot and races to the win.
