Poor Forecast Forces Montgomery to Cancel Saturday’s Show

Mother Nature has not been kind to short track racing enthusiasts so far this spring.  The latest victim to feel the wrath is Montgomery Motor Speedway.  Officials from the track announced that Saturday's scheduled event for the Show Me the Money Series has been canceled due to a poor weekend forecast.  There will not be a make-up date for the event.

"With the weekend forecast calling for rain on Saturday afternoon and into the evening and no possible way to run Sunday (Mother’s Day and 100% chance of rain) we have made the decision to cancel the race program for May 11," said track General Manager Stan Narrison.  "The safety of our racers fans and team members is our priority.  I feel like the girl on prom night, all dressed up and no date."

Saturday's "Meet the Drivers Night" event was scheduled to be the third race of the 2019 Show Me the Money Series season, a six-race series paying big money to Pro Late Model teams from the Southeast and beyond.

With round three being rained out, the focus will now shift to the Mid-Summer Clash 100 on June 8.  Augie Grill and Casey Roderick will enter that event tied atop the Show Me the Money Series championship standings.
