Pollard & Port City Racecars Joining Forces Again

Bubba Pollard will be taking a new car to Jennerstown Speedway this weekend, as it was announced Tuesday that Pollard has reunited with Port City Racecars.

Pollard will make his first start in the new Port City Racecar at Jennerstown Speedway Saturday, competing with the CARS Super Late Model Tour.  It will be his first Super Late Model appearance since the Blizzard Series opener at Five Flags Speedway on June 4, and his second pavement Super Late Model appearance since the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway.

This will be a reunion of sorts, as Pollard started his Late Model career in Port City Racecars.  According to Speed51’s records, Pollard won 11 Pro Late Model and two Super Late Model races in Port City Racecars between 2004 and 2008.  His last win in a Port City Racecar came in the Georgia Asphalt Series at Gresham Motorsports Park (known as Peach State Speedway at the time) on August 30, 2008.

While Pollard has cut back on his pavement racing schedule in 2021, he is currently scheduled to race three more times in July.  Following the American Freedom 300 at Jennerstown Speedway, he is scheduled to compete with the Blizzard Series at Five Flags Speedway during their doubleheader weekend on July 24-25, as well as at the CARS Tour Throwback 276 at Hickory Motor Speedway on July 31.
