The Speed51 Super Select Series powered by Rowdy Energy already boasts a stellar lineup of real-world racers competing in the sim world and a photo finish after its inaugural race. Moving forward in the 10-race season, drivers will be competing for a points fund in pursuit of the inaugural series title.
The points fund will be awarded for drivers competing in the Speed51 Super Select Series throughout the season. It is provided with support from both Rowdy Energy and PFC Brakes, the presenting sponsor of the season-opening eRattler 250.
That race featured a captivating finish, with Devon Morgan, Max Cookson and Parker Retzlaff battling to the checkered flag. The season will now have nine more races at some of the most notable short tracks in America.
All races in the Speed51 Super Select Series will be streamed live on Speed51 and on Speed51’s Five Star Race Car Bodies Facebook Feed. Nearly 40,000 unique viewers watched last Saturday’s season opener.
More than 25 real-world Late Model drivers have already filed full-season entries, offering their commitment throughout the season. The series will consist primarily of real-world racers using iRacing to stay fresh and scratch the competitive itch during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Speed51 Super Select Series races will also have opportunities for Open qualifying, offering others the chance to compete against the real-world stars throughout the season.
The Speed51 Super Select Series is currently looking for more companies to be involved. Money received will go towards the point fund for the drivers. Companies interested in sponsoring a portion of the series should email [email protected].
The next race on the schedule for the Speed51 Super Select Series powered by Rowdy Energy will be the “Festival of Speed” at USA International Speedway this Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
