The inaugural Speed51 Super Select Super Late Model All-Star Race at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. In addition to the $10,000 winner’s check on the line, there will be a handful of contingency awards up for grabs to sweeten the pot for the big show on Saturday, September 7.
The Short Track Alliance (STA) has arranged marketing partnerships with the Speed51 Super Select to offer cash prizes and award opportunities throughout the event, sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
PFC Brakes, the world’s leading supplier of motorsport friction components, has stepped up to sponsor one of these awards, paying out a prize to the winner of the first 25-lap segment of the 75-lap race. The driver leading after “PFC Brakes Segment #1 presented by the Short Track Alliance” will receive a $1,500 bonus, encouraging racers to charge to the front from the drop of the green flag.
“The Speed51 Super Select is an event that we have looked forward to for over a year and we can’t wait to see how it unfolds and who will win the first ‘All-Star’ event for Super Late Models,” said Chris Dilbeck, Motorsports Sales Manager at PFC Brakes. “Lucas Oil Raceway is one of my personal favorite tracks to see an event and it will be sure to provide great racing and we hope that the PFC Brakes segment powered by the Short Track Alliance will give fans a glimpse into the great racing of the final segment.”
The race is scheduled to feature three 25-lap segments, with a 12-car invert following the first segment. However, with the starting lineup for the third and final segment determined by combined finishing order in the first two segments as well as awards in place for segment winners, drivers will need to go all-out over the 75-lap race rather than sandbagging to get a favorable invert.
Between the exciting format and a star-studded field featuring the best Super Late Model racers in the country, this is a can’t-miss event for fans – which makes it an excellent chance to gain exposure for your company or brand.
Numerous advertising routes exist for the inaugural Speed51 Super Select, including a Hard Charger Award, Best Appearing Car, Bold Move of the Race award and just about anything else someone can come up with.
A pair of features will be contested on September 7, one for the Super Late Models and a 100-lap race for the USAC Silver Crown Series. There will also be a 50-lap Super Late Model race that will be open to all drivers to compete in. That race will transfer more drivers into the Super Select field.
