While Mel Kiper and Todd McShay have been busy preparing for the NFL draft, so too have the experts in the short track racing community as the Short Track Draft on Speed51.com draws nearer. For the third straight year, PFC Brakes – a leading manufacturer of high-performance brake calipers, rotors and pads – will continue their support of grassroots racing by partnering with Speed51.com for this one-of-a-kind feature.
“From the clay ovals to the super speedways, PFC braking components play a role in the success of countless ‘up and coming’ short track racers,” said Chris Dilbeck of PFC Brakes. “PFC Brakes is proud to support the Short Track Draft on Speed51.com for the third year in a row and we look forward to this year’s picks as well as top prospects.”
The Speed51.com staff has been hard at work compiling names to add to the draft ballot. Race fans will get their first look at the 2017 draft ballot on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET. The official ballot will be released next Tuesday, April 11th to our panel of 51 short track insiders. Whether you’re looking for a Late Model driver, Modified driver, or a dirt driver, they’re bound to be on our ballot.
Throughout the whole process, Speed51 will be doing “scouting reports” and more to give race fans an in-depth look at racing’s top prospects.
Once again in 2017, race fans will have a say in the voting process as well. Fans will be able to vote for who they think should be the number-one pick in this year’s draft on our Five Star Racecar Bodies Facebook page. More details will be released on that soon.
The Short Track Draft presented by PFC Brakes on Speed51.com will take place during the final week of April, with more details being announced soon.
