Las Vegas, Nevada – Peyton Saxton has developed quickly into one of the West Coast’s top Legends Car racers. He’s won races in Nevada, Washington, Idaho and South Carolina, just to name a few states this year.
He’s also set several track records.
Now he returns home to compete in the 23rd Annual Asphalt Nationals at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. To win the Pro division race he’ll have to successfully battle the best racers from across the country.
For Peyton and his Third Gen Racing Team, they look at it as just another race on their home turf. “Of course it’s the biggest race of the year for Legends Cars,” Peyton said. “But this is our home track. We’ll prepare the same way we do for any other race here. With what I learned from working with Dennis Lambert and his team this summer in Charlotte, we feel like we’ve got an even better chance to come out on top. It’s not going to be easy, but we believe our cars will be as fast as anyone and it’s definitely an advantage for us to be running this race here instead of somewhere else.”
Practice gets underway on Thursday for all divisions. Friday will be qualifying. Saturday is National Championship race day.
