With just a month remaining until the return of the Race of Champions 250 Weekend at the Oswego Speedway (NY), new details have emerged for the weekend, including support divisions, schedules and winner’s payouts.


The biggest payout will come from the main event of the weekend, with $12,500 going to the winner of the Race of Champions 250 on Saturday, September 17.


PFC ZR94 300x250While the RoC 250 is the event that fans and competitors have the most anticipation for, there is plenty of fast action in the days and hours leading up to the green flag.


On track activity begins on Thursday, September 15 with practice beginning for all divisions at 4 p.m. ET and running until dusk. Race fans will have the opportunity to view the practice sessions from the main grandstand free of charge.


Racing kicks off on Friday night, September 16 at 7 p.m. with the Sportsman Modifieds taking center stage for a 75-lap, $2,500 to win and $200 to start feature race. Friday will also feature the RoC Big Ten Super Stocks going for a 25-lap points paying race, with $600 going to the winner and $100 to all who start.


The big day Saturday features a full variety of racing action, including a 20-lap Super Stock “All-Star” race. Drivers will compete for another $600 on Saturday afternoon, but to be eligible, they will have to compete in the main event on Friday. Also in action Saturday will be a $700 to win Limited Supers race, as well as a Classic Asphalt Modified Series race featuring cars that will be on display for fans throughout the weekend.
