For the second consecutive year, the excitement of the Oxford 250 will be broadcast to a worldwide audience on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and Speed51 officials announced Thursday that the 46th Annual Oxford 250 will be streamed live via a pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com.
Speed51.com’s live broadcast on Sunday, August 25 will showcase all of the PASS Super Late Model qualifying action, as well as features for the North East Mini Stock Tour, Street Stocks, Rebels, Legends and PASS Modifieds. That will all lead into 250 laps of action-packed racing as the best drivers from New England and beyond battle for one of the richest prizes in asphalt Late Model racing.
In addition to showcasing Sunday’s action-packed racing, Speed51 will also be offering a pay-per-view broadcast of “The Night Before the 250.” This year’s Saturday night racing program will be one of the best yet, with the stars of the Tri-Track Open Modified Series and American-Canadian Tour headlining the program. Wicked Good Vintage Cars, Street Stocks, Classic Lites and Legends will also be in action.
Two-day video tickets to watch all of the Oxford 250 action can be purchased at a discounted price of $59.99, a savings of $5.
Live video tickets for Sunday’s 46th Annual Oxford 250 are available for $35.99, while Saturday’s live video tickets can be purchased individually for $29.99. Both prices align with the cost of general admissions tickets for the event.
“There’s nothing like Oxford 250 Sunday,” said Speed51 Editor Brandon Paul. “The qualifying heats alone are worth the price of admission. Add in a full day of racing and 250 laps of action-packed Super Late Model racing and you have one of the most exciting days of short track racing each year. While there’s nothing like enjoying the race with thousands of fellow race fans at the track, we’re happy to partner with PASS to be able to offer an option to those unable to travel to Oxford, Maine next weekend.”
Fifty-four drivers are currently entered for this year’s Oxford 250 with additional names expected to be added to the entry list this week. This year’s entry list includes defending winner Bubba Pollard, who will make the trip from Georgia to defend his crown.
Other former Oxford 250 winners in the field include the red-hot Curtis Gerry, Travis Benjamin, Mike Rowe, Ben Rowe, Eddie MacDonald, Scott Robbins and Joey Polewarcyk, Jr.
They’ll be joined by a star-studded field of drivers looking for their first Oxford 250 win, including PASS North points leader DJ Shaw, Derek Griffith, Cassius Clark, Johnny Clark, Cole Butcher, Garrett Hall and Reid Lanpher.
This year’s live broadcast on Speed51.com will be a multi-camera broadcast with audio from the track’s public address system.
