Race fans from all corners of the United States and Canada will make their way to Oxford Plains Speedway this weekend for the 42nd Annual Oxford 250. If you happen to be one of those fans, you’re probably going to be looking for a good restaurant to eat at during the weekend. Look no further than the Checkered Flag Restaurant, right next door to the race track.
Checkered Flag Restaurant, which is located within walking distance of Oxford Plains Speedway on Route 26 in Oxford, will serve as the official restaurant for the Speed51.com and 51 TV team throughout the three-day weekend.
The restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the weekend serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Their breakfast menu includes skillets, scrambles, omelettes, pancakes, eggs and much more. Whether you’re looking to go “three-wide” with a big meal or just get a quick fill-up before going to the track, they have it all.
The dinner menu includes specialties such as the flat-out fish ‘n chips, shoot out steak tips and checkered flag chicken fingers.
If you don’t have time to sit down and eat, you can visit their walk-up window to quickly order a breakfast sandwich, muffin or pastry to take to the race track.
In addition to the great food, the restaurant also offers race fans a unique atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else in the area. From the racing memorabilia spread throughout the restaurant to the racing-themed bathrooms, it’s the perfect spot for race fans.
