NWMT Makes Independence Day Plans in New Hampshire

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will feature plenty of fireworks on the Fourth of July.

NASCAR and White Mountain Motorsports Park announced Tuesday that the second race of the 2020 season for the tour will be held on Saturday, July 4, on the quarter-mile track in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.

The Independence Day 200 will headline the track’s holiday weekend doubleheader.

“We’re so happy to have the Whelen Modified Tour coming to White Mountain,” WMMP managing partner Cris Michaud said. “This wasn’t even on our radar a few weeks ago, so to have it come together like this is huge for the track and our fans.”

The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model division will top a racing card on Friday, July 3, that will include local divisions.

On Saturday, the Whelen Modified Tour will make its first trip to the central New Hampshire track. White Mountain, which runs Saturday night weekly racing, will run its local divisions following the Whelen Modified race and the evening will culminate with a firework show.

Both nights will begin at 6 p.m.

Spectator attendance at both events is limited to 50% of capacity per state health and safety guidelines.
