BAKERSFIELD, CA — NTS Motorsports west coast operation is set and ready for the 2016 season. The stage is set for NTS to challenge for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship, with three drivers competing full-time in 2016 and a fourth team competing part-time. NTS will also compete at select NASCAR K&N Pro Series West events, including the upcoming opener at Irwindale Speedway on March 19th.
2016 NTS Motorsports Driver Line Up
Christian McGhee – McGhee, from Claremont, California is the newest member of the NTS team. McGhee will run full-time in the NTS #26 with crew chief Dustin Ash, competing for both the 2016 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Rookie-of-the-Year and championship titles. NTS has won the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series Rookie-of-the-Year title, three of the past four years.
Blaine Rocha – Rocha, from Oakdale, California will return for his second year in the NTS #21. For 2016, Rocha will be paired up with crew chief Willie Allen, who will fly in from Tennessee for each event. Rocha started 2016 with a front row starting position at the Winter Showdown. Rocha will not only compete full-time in the SRL, but will also compete in select K&N Pro Series races.
Parker Stephens – Stephens, the 2015 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Rookie-of-the-Year, recently relocated to Bakersfield from his hometown of Olympia, Washington to focus on his driving career. Stephens placed second to race winner Bubba Pollard at the 2016 Winter Showdown. Stephens will run select K&N Pro Series events and compete full-time driving the NTS #28 with crew chief Travis Bennett in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series.
Greg Voigt – the veteran of the NTS line up, Voigt will drive in select SPEARS Southwest Tour Series events in 2016. The 2015 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship runner-up will devote more time to his business and family in 2016.
Upcoming events for NTS Motorsports include the March 19th K&N Pro Series West event at Irwindale Speedway with Stephens and Rocha competing. Followed by all three full-time drivers at the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season opener at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on April 9th.
