Spokane, WA – It is with great disappointment and regret that the Northwest Super Late Model Series (NWSLMS) will need to cancel its scheduled event for the “Mark Galloway 75” at Evergreen Speedway on Saturday June 26th. Due to tire inventory issues over the past few weeks, it became apparent that a different tire compound would be required for the Northwest Super Late Model race on the 5/8-mile oval.
The NWSLMS competes on the Hoosier 3035/3045 tires at Evergreen Speedway and many tracks throughout the West Coast. This tire was not available for this race. Several teams from the NWSLMS tested a different tire Thursday evening on the big 5/8-mile oval. The results were not satisfactory to the teams. This has created the need to cancel the event on the 26th of June. This change is not a reflection of the challenging work and service Hoosier Tire provides its customers, nor any issues with Evergreen Speedway. It is a reflection of the times, and the shortages in inventories supplies. We are highly disappointed that one of our premiere events of the season will have to be at a minimum, postponed. We thank Doug Hobbs and the entire staff at Evergreen Speedway for their efforts in these trying times. If a make-up date can be found, we will let drivers, teams, owners, and fans know as soon as a date can be scheduled.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding of the situation and hope a new date can be found. For anyone who would like to request a box office ticket refund, please send those requests to [email protected] or contact Evergreen Speedway’s business office Tuesday through Friday 9am to 4pm.
