Northeast Racers to Show Off Rides This Weekend in Maine

The 2019 edition of the Northeast Motorsports Expo and Trade Show was one of the biggest in recent memory for the off-season show in Augusta, Maine. Now on the eve of the 2020 Expo, the 32nd gathering is shaping up to be just as grand.

Once again under direction by the ace staff of Mainely Motorsports, the 32nd Northeast Motorsports Expo and Trade Show is set to showcase race tracks, touring series, race teams, vendors, and many more in the racing business from up and down the region at the Augusta Civic Center. It will also be the first chance for fans to get a look at many cars which will be in action in 2020.

Last year, the Expo saw one of its greatest showings of cars in over a decade, and Mainely Motorsports director Steve Perry is expecting to just about equal that mark this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

“I think between the cars and racecars we’ll have in attendance; it’s going to be around 80 this weekend,” Perry told Speed51.

Many cars will be on display by the regions chassis builders, as well as a number of series and tracks in attendance; some tracks which are adding to the list over 2019.

“We got a lot of tracks participating this year, Riverside Speedway has never attended in the past, the new owners are excited to be coming. It’s been a few years since Oxford Dragway has been in attendance, and they’re back this year. A couple of the local chassis builders, Crazy Horse Racecars and Davis Chassis Works are trying to promote their racecars.”

Just about everything Northeast and even beyond you can find in Augusta this weekend, including Speed51. Both Content Manager Brandon Paul and Northeast Editor Connor Sullivan, will be on the floor this weekend bringing the latest stories heading into the 2020 season, but also getting race fans in attendance up to date about what the whole of Speed51 has in store for the new year.
