Since last fall, sim racing has become an attraction on Speed51.com each Tuesday night with the Speed51 Elite Modified Tour and Western Super Series in action. For the month of February, Elite Racing Leagues and Speed51 are giving sim racers a chance to shine and earn a spot in the next Speed51 Elite Modified season, with the inaugural Speed51 Elite SK Modified Series.
This four-race sim mini-series will use the popular SK Modifieds seen in the Northeast and will be open to sim racers who are looking to make their mark in the sim racing world. Drivers who finished in the top 20, as well as race winners who finished 21st through 30th in points during the previous Speed51 Elite Modified Tour winter season will not be eligible.
The 51 SK Series will hit four popular Modified tracks over the next four Tuesdays, beginning February 4 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The series will continue with visits to the virtual Concord Speedway on February 11 and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on February 18 before concluding at the sim version of the track where the real-world SK’s can trace their origin: Stafford Motor Speedway on February 25. Each race will begin with qualifying at 7:35 p.m. ET.
The top 31 drivers in 51 SK Series points will be approved for the upcoming season of the Speed51 Elite Modified Tour.
The entry fee for the Speed51 Elite SK Modified Series is $5 with 100% of the fees going to the series purse, which will go to the top five in the final series points.
