New Raceday Announced for Peach State Classic at Gresham

The much-anticipated return of stock car racing to Gresham Motorsports Park was postponed from May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  While a make-up weekend had been announced at that time, event officials have now established October 24 as the official race date for the inaugural Peach State Classic.

The Saturday, October 24 race date will include a Super Late Model feature, co-sanctioned by the Southern Super Series and the CARS Super Late Model Tour.  The Modifieds of Mayhem will also be in action on Saturday as part of the Peach State Classic.

More details regarding the Peach State Classic race weekend, including racing activities on Friday, October 23, will be announced at a later date.

Anticipation is high for the Peach State Classic, as it will be the first short track event at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA in more than six years.  The event will be the first race at the half-mile oval since the 2014 World Crown 300, won by Georgia native Casey Roderick.

If you are interested in any aspect of the Peach State Classic, please contact event staff at [email protected].  The track is looking for people to work the event, help prior to the event and anyone who may want to have a lucrative sponsorship or advertising package as part of the event.
