News broke ground in the past month that Ontario would be getting itsself a new Late Model Touring series designed to combine the province allowing 602, 603 & 604 Late Models to compete together. The United Late Model’s of Ontario Tour presented by APC, or the APC Tour for short had its rules meeting this past weekend which announced a tentative 9 race schedule. The schedule will feature 5 tracks across Ontario including a TBA date which is speculated to be held at the reopening Cayuga Speedway.

Each event will feature 24 cars (at 1/3 mile tracks) and 28 cars (at tracks larger than 1/3 mile). Feature races will be lined up based on time trials followed by a pill inversion (max 10). All races will be a 4 tire, 100 lap race with tires being compounded until 1 hour before race time to avoid tire soaking.

So far the tour has gathered the interests of track champions from across the province including Matt Pritiko (Delaware), Dale Shaw (Flamboro) & Mike Bentley (Sunset), along with CRA Jegs All Star Tour regular Marc Jacobs. With $1,850 being paid out to each feature winner through the season, along with $7,000 to the points champion, the tour is anticipated to gather a large number of drivers for each of its 9 races.

More information will be finalized & announced through the winter months, this weekends rules meeting was able to give all drivers and teams what to expect for this up coming season.
