New Hampshire Driver Stays Hot in SLM Qualifying

Derek Griffith continued his strong showing at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, setting fast time in Super Late Model qualifying at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) Tuesday.

Griffith is coming off a second-place finish in his ARCA Menards Series East debut at the Florida half-mile, and currently sits third in World Series Super Late Model points behind Brad May and Sammy Smith.

May qualified second for the feature, placing him on the pole for Tuesday’s race after a two-car invert. Griffith will start alongside May on the front row.  Smith qualified 14th in his Kyle Busch Motorsports entry and will have to charge through the field for a strong finish in the 50-lap feature.

Ty Majeski, making his first Super Late Model start of the week, qualified sixth.
