Archer, FL – Tour-Type Modifieds along with INEX Legends/Bandoleros have been invited to Bronson Speedway, located in northern Florida, for the inaugural Kick Off to Florida SpeedWeeks.

Bronson Speedway owner Ann Young and her late-husband Chris Young had a vision of hosting this event since their purchase of the Speedway in 2010. The Youngs are a racing family with roots in the NASCAR Modified and the INEX Legend Cars ranks. Many know the senior Young enjoyed success locally at Riverhead Raceway and the younger Young won the 2011 INEX Legend Championship at the same track.  Lets just say they are the epitome of the term “racing family”.

The decision to host this event, this year, is in large part due to the untimely passing of Chris Young just this past July after knee replacement surgery.

“Now is the time,” said Ann Young. “I want this one for Chris. Modified racing was his passion and I will dedicate this event to his memory. It was our dream to have the Mods and the INEX Legends/Bandoleros at Bronson Speedway to kick off Florida SpeedWeeks. This year is perfect time to complete that dream.”:

Bronson Speedway will host a Test and Tune for all divisions on Friday, February 12. Gates will open at 12 noon with a PIT Fee of $10.00 for all. Overnight parking is free and a post-practice welcome BBQ with “Karaoke Debbie” is planned.

On Saturday, February 13, both visiting divisions will time trial for their straight up starting positions. Tour-Type Mods will race 50 laps for $1,500.00 to win and Legend competitors will race 35 laps for a $ 500 to win.

Sponsors are still signing on as news of this event has spread.

Joining these visiting divisions will be Bronson Speedway’s Limited Late Model Sportsman, E-Mods, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and Strictly Stocks.

Visit Bronson Speedway Facebook page for more info or call 352-486-4998 to let us know you are coming.

Come on out to Bronson Speedway at 9950 NE SR 24 Archer, Florida and be a part of the Young’s vision February 12 and 13 2016.
