Stephen Nasse made the trek from Pinellas Park, Florida to West Allis, Wisconsin this past weekend to compete at “Amercia’s Legendary Oval,” The Milwaukee Mile.
Nasse teamed up with the Illinois-based Adrian Carriers team to compete in the ARCA Midwest Tour’s Howie Lettow Memorial 150 on Sunday, June 8th. After starting 29th, he came home with a respectable 14th-place finish.
The 19-year-old driver left Milwaukee pleased with his first visit to The Mile, especially racing with drivers who were familiar with the famous track.
“In the race we came back and we fought to a 14th place finish,” Nasse said after the race. “We passed 15 cars and that is an accomplishment to me honestly. For us to do that, from where we were at the beginning of the weekend, that is a big deal for us.
“It helped me being out there with people and seeing where they are letting off and getting on the gas. We were killing them in the middle but we were getting beat coming off the corners.”
Nasse continues to see the great progress that he is having with the Adrian Carriers team.
“As a team, we kept working further and further to get the car better. I felt like we got there along with me learning the racetrack. All in all I think it is a good weekend for the team.”
Nasse will be back in the No. 29 Super Late Model on Saturday, July 5th for the ARCA Midwest Tour’s Summer Shootout 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
