NASCAR Stars Joining Open Wheel Battle on Speed51

Speed51 and the Elite Racing League are hosting the 200 at virtual Daytona International Speedway on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. ET.  The event has already drawn some of the top names in all of motorsports, including NASCAR stars tackling the open wheel IndyCars at “The World Center of Speed.”

Former Daytona 500 champion Austin Dillon is entered for the event, alongside two-time and defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.  Other NASCAR stars planning on competing include Bayley Currey, Garrett Smithley, Josh Bilicki, Landon Cassill, Parker Kligerman and Spencer Boyd.

Former Indianapolis 500 winners Alexander Rossi and Tony Kanaan lead the IndyCar Series charge into virtual Daytona.  Graham Rahal, Sage Karam, Conor Daly, Gabby Chaves, James Hinchcliffe, James Davison, Marcus Ericsson, RC Enerson, Spencer Pigot, and Stefan Wilson are also entered for the special event.

NHRA regular Shawn Langdon and Australian V8 SuperCar champion Scott McLaughlin have thrown their names into the ring for Wednesday night’s race.  Other sports are also being represented, with NHL goaltender Craig Anderson and Olympic Figure Skaters Chris Knierim and Todd Eldredge going up against racing’s top competitors.
