NASCAR Cup Champion Going Short Track Racing Saturday

Fresh off his second career NASCAR Cup Series championship, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch will be going short track racing this Saturday in North Carolina. Busch will drive his Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 51 Super Late Model at Southern National Motorsports Park during the PRA Tours season finale.

Busch, a 56-time winner at NASCAR’s highest level, will be making his second Super Late Model start of the year after competing in CRA SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA) in January.

Throughout his career, Busch has been a strong supporter of short track racing and continues to enter events when his schedule allows. He has previously won major short track racing events including the Snowball Derby, Oxford 250, Winchester 400, Winter Showdown and SpeedFest.

Saturday’s PRA Tours race will be held as part of the Thanksgiving Classic, a traditional post-Thanksgiving event at Southern National Motorsports Park. The PRA Tour Super Late Models will conclude their 2019 season with a 125-lap main event.

Speed51 will be on hand Saturday to provide updates, as well as video highlights on the Speed51 Network after the conclusion of the event.
