A who’s who of Midwest Super Late Model drivers have registered for this Tuesday’s night’s ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment Forest Potawatomi Dixieland 250 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
Not only will the best be in attendance, they will also be joined by NASCAR Hall of Famer and former Dixieland 250 winner Mark Martin who will be in attendance to meet the fans.
2015 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Champion Kyle Busch is returning to WIR after a nine-year hiatus. He won a 150-lap ARCAMT event in 2007 and is looking to add his name to the list of Dixieland 250 winners.
The race itself will be a 250-lap event with controlled pit stops. The Big 8 Series Dixieland Delight will also be on the schedule this Tuesday night.
The ARCA Midwest Tour Touring Stars will be out in full force this Tuesday night with three-time defending ARCAMT Champion Ty Majeski leading the way. Recent Wayne Carter Classic Ricky Baker and Joe Shear Classic winner Andrew Morrissey will also be in attendance.
Defending Dixieland 250 winner Dennis Prunty along with 2015 Dixieland champ Nick Murgic will also be in the field.
Paul Shafer Jr, Austin Nason, Jonathan Eilen, Michael Ostdiek (R), Travis Dassow, Dalton Zehr, and John DeAngelis, all who are currently in sitting in the top-ten in the ARCAMT point standings, will be ready this Tuesday night along with two-time ARCAMT champion Dan Fredrickson.
Former WIR Red, White, and Blue champions Lowell Bennett, Jeff Van Oudenhoven, Maxwell Schultz, and Casey Johnson will be looking to protect their home turf.
Former ARCA/CRA Super Series champion Travis Braden, who is fresh off of a podium finish at the Wayne Carter Classic will make his third ARCAMT start at the Dixieland 250 fresh off an ARCA/CRA victory at Lucas Oil Raceway.
Weekly WIR competitors Cory Kemkes, Randy Schuler, Brent Strelka, Pete Vandermolen, Bobby Kendall, Kyle Calmes, Braison Bennett, and Brandon Reichenberger will also look at winning the big event.
Other top Midwest Super Late Model drivers will also be competing on Tuesday night. Names like Travis Sauter, Cardell Potter, Jacob Goede, Chris Weinkauf, Jason Weinkauf, Natalie Decker, Rich Schumann Jr., Derek Kraus, Chad Butz and more.
Front gates will open at 4pm with qualifying at 5pm. The fan autograph session will start at 6pm with racing getting underway at 7pm.
