Race fans worldwide will be able to watch one of the biggest Pro Late Model races of the year Sunday on Speed51.com. The Hunt for the Bear 150, the Show Me the Money Series season finale at Montgomery Motor Speedway (AL), will be broadcast live on Speed51 TV. The broadcast will be presented to race fans free of charge, courtesy of PFC Brakes.
The 150-lap, $6,000-to-win race will feature some of the Southeast’s top Late Model stars including Jeff Choquette, Casey Roderick and Augie Grill among others. Race fans will be able to watch all of the action beginning at 2:15 p.m.
“I’m really excited about it. We kind of did a test run at the Alabama 200, and I was amazed at how many people who were following the Trackside Now coverage went over and had an opportunity to see some of the race on the live stream,” said Stan Narrison, Promoter of Montgomery Motor Speedway. “I just think it’s interesting.”
Speed51.com will bring race fans all of the racing through a one-camera audio feed featuring audio from the track’s public address system. There will be a 150-mile blackout in effect in order to encourage those close to the track to experience the sights and sounds in person.
“I still feel like the best experience is to be here and smell the fuel burning and the tires and everything else,” Narrison said. “But for some folks, I’ve got friends all around the country that I know will be tuning into it just to see what kind of event we put on and they know how competitive our Pro Late Models have been. I’m pretty excited about it and I think it’s pretty neat.”
The Hunt for the Bear 150 will be a six-tire race that will bring in an added element of strategy for drivers and race teams. In addition to the $6,000 on the line, there is also a $500 bonus on the line for the driver that averages the best finish between last Sunday’s Allen Turner Tune Up at Five Flags Speedway (FL) and Sunday’s race.
The free broadcast presented by PFC Brakes will be the second of its kind this upcoming weekend. On Saturday night, race fans can watch the Southern Super Series Finale at Five Flags Speedway (FL) live on Speed51.com. That broadcast is also free to view, courtesy of PFC Brakes.
In order to access both live broadcasts, race fans will need to sign up for a free, basic membership on Speed51.com. That can be done for free today by clicking here.
