Mondeik Carries Momentum Into Stateline Challenge

Justin Mondeik is heating up in the Badger state. The 24-year old Wisconsinite has now put together  three straight impressive wins in the past two weeks – Golden Sands Speedway, and two at State Park  Speedway. Adding to a second place podium finish with the TUNDRA Super Late Models series at  Marshfield, Mondeik and his team are carrying a surge of recent success and momentum into today’s race at Norway Speedway. “We were excited about the win last night at SPS. Definitely had a solid field  of cars there, and had to earn it. We are starting to hit our stride”, Mondeik said after winning a thrilling  60-lap Feature at State Park Speedway last night.

Winner of the 2020 Stateline Challenge at Norway Speedway, Justin and his team has won six out  of seven attempts at Norway over the past year. “We will have a target on our back, I suppose. Our  Toby Car has been good up there, but we will have a tough task with Zehr, Sauter, and many others making the trip,” Mondeik said. “When you look at the list of winners, it just makes us proud. I also went to college up here at MTU and our shop is only a few hours away, so it feels like a home race”  he added.

NASCAR Truck Champion Johnny Sauter will be amongst a strong field of Super Late Models attempting  to dethrone Mondeik in Norway, Michigan today. Sauter won the prestigious event in 2018 and will be  back to battle again on the 1/3 mile. The 38th Annual Stateline Challenge at Norway Speedway begins  tonight at 7:00 PM CST.
