If you’re a Modified fan and you have a premium subscription to the Speed51 Network, this weekend’s edition of Speed51’s Summer Thunder TV presented by PFC Brakes is going to be one you’re not going to want to miss.
It all starts this Friday night with the Summer Thunder debut of the Valenti Modified Racing Series.
This will also mark the second straight week Speed51 will broadcast from New Hampshire’s Lee USA Speedway, where the Granite State Pro Stock Series mixed it up last Friday night.
The VMRS is getting ready to mix things up this week, as the men who live by ‘The Grace of God and 600 Horsepower’ will contend in Twin 50-Lap features, which will each pay full points towards the 2018 championship. It will also be the only Modified event this season in the Northeast to utilize the ‘cone rule’ for all restarts during heat and feature racing.
The rule made famous at Bowman Gray Stadium, will see drivers choosing their lane of choice, inside or outside on each restart.
Air times will be announced on race day and as usual, the broadcast will be available on-demand following the checkered flag of the final feature.
Again, Friday’s action is also the leadoff for the Modified faithful, as the Modifieds of the Race of Champions and Supermodifieds of ISMA go north of the border to Ontario, Canada’s Jukasa Motor Speedway, for a doubleheader on Saturday night, in the first Summer Thunder broadcast on Canadian soil.
Both broadcasts, as well as all of Speed51’s Summer Thunder schedule are available for free to all Speed51 premium subscribers.
