Tucson, AZ– Although the sweltering summer may officially be over, the heat can only intensify from here on out at Tucson Speedway, The Action Track Built for Speed!
Saturday, September 6th brings the “Minuteman 50” sponsored by AZ Army National Guard and KFFN radio. The night will feature Super Late Models, Pro Stocks, Modifieds, and Hornets.
Super Late Models will knock out 50 laps this weekend and race for Double Points. Ron Norman # 9, is at the top of the class with 150 points! Last Super Late Model Race winner, Dylan Jones # 26, holds second place with 136 points, only a short 8 point lead on Rick Butler who holds third place with 128 points. Fingers crossed this race won’t mimic the crash fest the drivers endured in the Last Super Late race on August 16th!
Both Pro Stock Competitors and Modifieds will race 25 laps while Hornets race 20 laps.
Hard to imagine anyone missed out on the Whelen Engineering “Monsoon Madness” event on August 16th with 6,825 fans filling the grandstands that weekend, but for the few that might have, “Minuteman 50” is only a few short days away!
Don’t miss any of the excitement. Jumping castles, face painters, ACE Hardware “Kid Zone”, tremendous food, the famous Beer Well stocked with both international and local beers, and NASCAR’s finest Home Track racing combines for Tucson’s greatest summer attraction
General Admission Price for adults is $10 and children under 10 get all the action for FREE. Gates open at 5:00 pm. The meet and greet on the track starts at 6:15 and racing begins at 7:00.
