Millbridge Mid-Week Program Hitting Summer Stretch

After a week off, Millbridge Speedway’s mid-week program returns to action Tuesday and Wednesday, June 15-16.  This kicks off a busy summer stretch where action on the 1/6-mile oval in Salisbury, North Carolina will be red hot.

On Tuesday, the Open Outlaw Karts as well as Box Stocks, Beginner Box Stocks and Cadets will be on track.  Wednesday’s action features Winged Micro Sprints, Intermediate Outlaw Karts and JR Wings.

That same lineup will race again on June 28-29, but with the Micro Sprints taking off the wings that Wednesday night.  There will also be midweek racing on July 13-14 and July 27-28 at Millbridge Speedway.

Several divisions will also see their points battles heating up during the summer stretch.  Currently, Tim Nye leads the 600cc Micro Sprint points, which uses a combination of both Winged and Non-Winged race nights over the course of the Wednesday night season.  Meanwhile, Caden Kvapil leads the Tuesday night Open points standings.

In two divisions, just six points separate the top two drivers.  Talon Pelfrey holds the advantage over Jayden Cordell in Box Stock points, with Brody Snyder and Aiden Price also lurking just behind Cordell.  In JR Wing, Caleb Scarborough carries a six-point lead over Brody Snyder, with Pelfrey and Katie Yonchuk all within nine points of Scarborough.

Biscuit Williams leads Emma Francis in Intermediate points, while Beckham Malone leads Wyatt Miller in the Beginner Box Stock division.
