Morris, IL – The stars and cars of the ARCA Midwest Tour will be battling with Chicagoland’s best Super Late Model drivers on Saturday night, July 14 at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL for a Wayne Carter Classic record top prize of $5,000.


Rod Baker Ford and Illinois Truck & Equipment continue their support of this annual summertime event at Grundy, not only increasing the winner’s share for the 100-lap contest but also increasing the start pay for the 25-car field to $750.


Joining the ARCA Midwest Tour will be the Mid-American Stock Cars, Midwest Compact Touring Series and the open wheeled excitement of the Illini Racing Series Midgets.


The Wayne Carter Classic began in 1975 when Tom Reffner defeated Bob Roper in what was the first ever ARTGO Racing event. The list of winners and participants is a who’s who of Midwest Short Track Racing.


Spectator Gates will open at 4:30pm, qualifying begins at 5pm with an autograph session to follow and the First Race will start at 7pm. Adult General Admission Tickets are $20, Seniors (62 and over) are $18, Students (ages 12-17) are $10 with kids ages 11 and under admitted Free.
