ARCA Midwest Tour Heads to Gateway

The ARCA Midwest Tour announced last week it will join the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and USAC for an event at Gateway Motorsports Park on June 25.

Illiana Speedway Will Not Race in 2016

Illiana Speedway put out a post on its website and Facebook page stating it will not be opening for the 2016 season.  The track had been listed for sale over the winter and has not yet been sold.  For more on this story, click here.


Rockford Speedway Releases Schedule

Rockford Speedway released its scheduled for its 69th year of racing.  Included on the schedule are stops by both the ARCA Midwest Tour and the Big 8 Series.  NASCAR Late Models highlight weekly racing, along with the addition of the ‘Original Sixers’, a division featuring six-cylinder racing cars.


The Speedway also bumped back the start time of its ‘Wild Wednesdays’, which run from June 15-August 10. The green flag will fly at 7:27 instead of 7:07.  To see the full 2016 schedule, visit (Rockford Speedway PR)

The rumor mill is swirling for what might be next for Super Late Model hot shoe Ty Majeski ever since Dave Kallmann of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal reported seeing Majeski atop a Rousch Fenway pit box at XFinity practice at Daytona.  However, the cat has not been let out of the bag regarding any future plans for the driver who ranked second in the most recent Power Poll.


Dells Raceway Park to Host 2nd Annual Icebreaker 100

Entries are pouring in for the 2nd Annual Icebreaker 100 at Dells Raceway Park on April 17th, 2016.  The event, which was a huge success last year, kicks off the race season in the state of Wisconsin. will be releasing the entry list on Tuesday, so check back to see which drivers are going to break the ice this year.


Toledo Speedway to Honor “Good Weather” Ticket Prices

Advance ticket buyers for Toledo Speedway’s Season Opener on Saturday, April 16 will be offered a “Good Weather Guarantee”. If the temperature is not at least 55 degrees with no rain at the scheduled 3 p.m. start time, all advance ticket purchasers will be given a free ticket to the next event on Toledo’s schedule, the USAC Silver Crown race Saturday, April 30.

A group of drivers hailing from the Midwest will make the trip to South Alabama Speedway next weekend for the 40th annual Rattler.  Ty Majeski, Cole Anderson and Travis Sauter will be among the Midwest contingent looking to meet the rattlesnake in victory lane.

Kalamazoo Announces Plans for Drivers’ Sponsor Night

On Friday Night, May 6, Kalamazoo Speedway will be hosting an appreciation night for our weekly drivers’ sponsors whose business names are displayed on their cars. The track will be giving away eight tickets to the top-four sponsors that support each of their drivers. This will be a neat program for weekly race teams to have Kalamazoo Speedway send four of your sponsors’ $100 worth of tickets to the May 6 event. With over 100 weekly cars and four sponsors per car, the track is offering drivers and teams nearly $40,000 of free tickets for this single event. Say thank you to your sponsors and show them that you appreciate what they do for you. Only sponsors displayed on the race vehicle are eligible to receive the tickets.


CRA Releases Entry Forms for 7-Up 200 at Toledo

Officials from the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS have released the entry form for the series event on April 16th at Toledo Speedway, located in Toledo, Ohio, which will once again be part of the 7-UP 200. The ARCA Midwest Tour teams have been invited to participate again. This will be the fourth consecutive season that the two series have worked together with this event, the previous three events have been very successful. The ARCA Gold Cup Outlaw Late Models will also be a part of this year’s event again with their own 100 lap feature.
