Grundy County Speedway – Larry Schuler led from green to checkers in the Frank Welch Memorial 47-lap feature Friday night at Grundy County Speedway.  Points are tight between Eddie Hoffman and Larry Schuler as we hit the final stretch of the season. Hoffman leads Schuler by 56 points.

Rockford Speedway – Michael Bilderback completed the clean sweep Saturday night at Rockford Speedway, setting fast time, earning a fast dash win and taking the checkers in the 30-lap Late Model feature.  A great day at the track earned Bilderback some valuable points in the championship standings where he trails point leader Jacon Gille by just 26 points with four point nights remaining on the schedule.  Next up at Rockford is Instant Jungle Night this Saturday, August 22nd.



Anderson Speedway – Jason Atkinson pulled into Victory Lane in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Division, Jack Dossey came home second with Jeff Marcum, Jason Atkinson and Bill VanMeter rounding out the top five.  Anderson Speedway hosts Retro Weekend on Saturday, August 22nd featuring Legends, Street Stocks, Indy Faskary and Thunder Roadsters.

Angola Motorsport Speedway – Angola Motor Speedway hosted their Fab Five Show Saturday night featuring Late Models, Modifieds and Street Stocks.  Tony Dager took the checkers in the Late Model feature, with Aaron Timmerman winning the Modified race and Troy Moyer taking the Street Stock win.  Angola adds to their Fab Five show this Saturday, August 22nd with Great Lakes Mini Cups, Dwarfs and ARCA Trucks.

Illiana Motor Speedway – Jeff Cannon claimed victory at Saturday night.  Anthony Danta leads the Late Model point standings by more than 100 points with just three races left.

New Paris Speedway – Fresh off the Summer Sizzler, it was Kids’ Night at New Paris Speedway.  Hobby Stocks raced 50 laps in the Flagger Boys 50 in memory of Danny Galloway and it was Darrell Click who brought home the win.  Ron Maynard took the checkered flag in the Late Model Sportsman division, with Nick Stremme second and Donny Klotz third.  This Saturday, August 22nd, will be the final ATC Trailers Super Late Model race of the season.  The Sizzler Series caps off with the Paul Miller Memorial 75 lap $2,000 to win event.  A little incentive for drivers – if you qualifying in the top 4, you can choose to start in the back, and if you win, there will be a $1,000 bonus.

Salem Speedway – Salem Speedway has a few weeks off, they return to action on Saturday, August 29th with Kids’ Night.

South Bend Motor Speedway – Cory Pressler took the early lead in the 42-lap Bellman Oil Outlaw Late Model race and never looked back, holding off point leader Charlie Hanna to pick up the win.  Hanna currently holds a 68 point lead over Rich Boal in the point standings with just one race remaining.  This Saturday, August 22nd will serve as championship night at South Bend.

Sportsdrome – No results have been posted for August 15th, 2015.  The Xtreme Winged Figure 8’s, Oval Xtreme, Dromer Oval & FWD are on track again this Saturday.

Winchester Speedway – Winchester Speedway is off until the World Stock Car Festival Labor Day Weekend.  Three days of racing are on tap including the JEGS All-Star Tour on Sunday night and the ARCA/CRA Super Series 100-lap event on Monday.



Auto City Speedway – Auto Speedway has a few weeks off and will be back in action on Saturday, August 29th for their season championships. Blake Childers leads Joshua Hahn by just nine points heading into the final night.

Berlin Raceway – Brian Bergakker made his way to Victory Lane in the Outlaw Late Model feature.  In one of the closest point battles, Bergakker leads Ross Meeuwsen by eight points and third place Tom Thomas by 12 points.  The Super Late Models were off last weekend, but will be back on track this Saturday with a tight point race brewing of their own.   Tom Thomas leads Brian Campbell by eight points and Ross Meeuwsen by nine points.  Both point titles will be decided on championship night, August 29th.

Galesburg Speedway – Greg Par was your Late Model winner Sunday a Galesburg Speedway.  Justin Dinzik finished second, Phil Bozell third, Andy Bozell fourth and AJ Foote fifth.  All divisions are back on track this Saturday for a final night of racing before the season championships on August 29th.

Kalamazoo Speedway – After hosting the Klash just a week ago, Kalamazoo Speedway picks up again with all racing divisions on Saturday, August 22nd.

Onaway Speedway – Onaway Speedway is off until season championship night on Saturday, August 29th.

Owosso – Blake Childers picked up another Pro Late Model win Saturday night.  Vinnie Miller was second, Tony Hoose third, Jason Felver fourth and Josh Hahne fifth.  Childers also extended his lead in the point champions, he now leads Kyle Crump by 22.

Springport Motor Speedway – Springport had the weekend off, but bounces back this weekend with championship night for Outlaw Super Late Models, Stock Cars, and GLOW mods.  Dan Krzywosinski clinched the Outlaw Super Late Model championship on August 8th, but other divisions are yet to be decided.



Elko Speedway – Donny Reuvers won on an emotional night at Elko Speedway for the Dwain Behrens Memorial race.  Bryan Keske came home second, Paul Paine third, Jacob Goede fourth and Billy Mohn fifth.  Goede owns nearly a 100 point lead heading into this Saturday’s events.



I-44 Speedway – Kenny Wallace hopped behind the wheel of a Late Model last Thursday night at I-44 Speedway for the 2nd Annual Roper Family Classic.  Kevin Donahue spoiled the night, pulling his No. 7 machine into Victory Lane with JC Newell second, Brennon Willard third, Cole Rouse fourth and Steve Holt fifth.  Wallace finished sixth.  This Saturday is Emerson Copeland Night at the races with Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsmen, Street Stocks and Chargers.



Midvale Speedway – Alex Rosenberry was victorious Saturday night. Bubba Smith leads the point standings over Bryant Smith with just a handful of races left on the schedule.  Midvale is back on track again this Saturday, August 22nd.

Sandusky Speedway –The MSA Supermodified series was on hand Saturday night and there was plenty of local racing action as well.  It might have been Mike Sheppard’s 43rd career win, but it was his first in a modified on Saturday night.  Joe Quinn, Kenny Sharp, Kegan Bartlome and Joey Wyckoff rounded out the top five.  Modifieds and other racing divisions are at it again this Saturday night at Sandusky.



Columbus Speedway – Saturday night Bobby Justus won his first NASCAR Whelen All American Series feature since 2013.  Justus held off a charge from Cody Robinson to grab the win, Robinson came home second, Kyle Jones third and Chad Pendleton fourth.  With four races remaining, Jones leads the point battle by just six points over Pendleton.  Columbus Speedway hosts kids’ night this Saturday, August 22nd.

Dells Raceway Park – Dennis Prunty seems to know how to win the big races.  A little over a month after winning the Slinger Nationals, Prunty picked up the win at the Habelman 100 and a $3,000 check at Dells Raceway Park on Saturday.  Mark Eswein was second, Nathan Haseleu third, Bobby Kendall fourth and Dalton Zehr fifth.  It’s kids’ bike night this Saturday as Limited Late Models, Sportsman, Bandits and Outlaw Bandits will be on track at DRP.

Golden Sands Speedway – Golden Sands Speedway crowned season champions on Friday night.  Jim Sauter Jr. held a nine point lead over Reagan May heading into the nights’ events.  May brought home a third place finish, while Sauter finished ninth and that was enough to for May to earn the Super Late Model Championship by 11 points.  Weekly racing has ended at Golden Sands Speedway for the year, but the TUNDRA Series will visit the track in Plover, WI as a make-up to their event on Memorial Day, which was rained out.

La Crosse Fairgronds Speedway – Ty Majeski made it back to back wins at La Crosse Speedway Saturday night. A late race caution wiped out Mike Carlson’s lead and on the re-start with Majeski got the best of Carlson, taking the lead and picking up his second straight win.  This Saturday marks the weekly racing finale at La Crosse.  Steve Carlson appears to have wrapped-up his 1,000th (or so it seems) Late Model Championship, but points are tight across other divisions.

Madison International Speedway – A big wreck occurred in the beginning of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model feature at Madison International Speedway Friday night.  More than six cars were involved and stacked on top of eachother.  No one was injured, and shortly after the rain came, cancelling the rest of the night or racing before the feature could be finished.  Three nights of raving are left on the schedule, including this Friday, August 21st.  Zach Riddle owns a 28 point lead over Dale Nottestad heading into the final events.

Marshfield Speedway – Marshfield Speedway took the weekend off and returns to action this Saturday night with a full slate of racing.

Slinger Speedway – New father Steve Apel inched out a win over Dennis Prunty Sunday night.  The two battled back and forth all night with Apel taking the checkers in a photo finish.  Super Late Models take the week off, but the Pepsi Challenge Championship Round takes to the track Sunday.

State Park Speedway – Natalie Decker picked up her third win of the season at State Park Speedway last Thursday night.  Point leader Jeremy Lepak held the early lead, but a late race caution closed the gap between Decker and Lepak.  Decker and Lepak raced hard of the final laps, with Decker making a move to take the lead and the win in the closing laps.  The Lodi Memorial Race takes place at State Park Speedway this Thursday night featuring a 100-lap Super Late Model feature.

Wisconsin International Raceway – It seems we just talked about Steve Apel and here we are talking about him again.  Thursday night Apel claimed the Red, White and Blue State Championship at Wisconsin International Raceway.  Lowell Bennett won the 75-lap feature, but came up 11 points shorts in his hunt for the Red, White and Blue Championship.  WIR has races again this Thursday night for Werner Electric night.
