Grundy County Speedway – Tony Scalpelli picked-up a win Grundy County Speedway in just his second night out with a thrilling last lap pass of Larry Schuler. Eddie Hoffman maintains a 48 point lead over Schuler in the point standings. Grundy County Speedway has a big weekend of racing on tap with a full race program on Friday, the racer’s reunion and induction on Saturday and the 39th annual night of features on Sunday with 216 laps of racing, including the 61-lap Late Model Lee Schuler Memorial.
Anderson Speedway – Jack Dossey survived a handful of late rate restarts to claim his fifth feature win Saturday at Anderson Speedway. Dossey’s win also extended his point lead, which is currently 59 points over Jeff Marcum. This Saturday is the Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza with the Xtreme Sprint Series Labor Day 50, Thunder Roadsters and WOFS Outlaw Figure 8’s.
Angola Motor Speedway – Race results not available as of Monday afternoon. This weekend is Jeffery Shelmadine and Blaine Miller Tribute Weekend with a full race schedule Saturday, including a $3,000 to win Street Stock event. Sunday it’s a $2,000 to win Late Model Sportsman race along with Modifieds and Street Stocks.
Illiana Motor Speedway – No results available as of Monday afternoon. Anthony Danta leads Chris King in the point standings by over 140 points. This Saturday, September 5 will serve at season championship night at Illiana Motor Speedway.
New Paris Speedway – Rain washed out championship night at New Paris Speedway. An Eve of Destruction is slated for this Saturday, September 5 with the seasons championships rescheduled for Saturday, September 12.
Salem Speedway fueled by the Hoosier Lottery – Ronnie Basham won the Lucas Oil Great American Stocks feature Saturday night at Salem Speedway. David Bayens, Todd Kempf, Mike Sharp and Justin Pirtle rounded out the top five. Salem Speedway is off until Saturday, September 19 when the ARCA Racing Series comes to town.
South Bend Motor Speedway – South Bend ended their 2015 season Saturday night with its demolition derby.
Winchester Speedway – Winchester Speedway is off until their Labor Day Weekend Special.
Hawkeye Downs Speedway – Hawkeye Downs Speedway was off last weekend, but returns to action this Friday night as the ARCA Midwest Tour pays a visit to Cedar Rapids, IA.
Auto City Speedway – Races were cancelled this past weekend at Auto City Speedway. This Saturday will be their Maximum Destruction event.
Berlin Raceway – It was championship night at Berlin Raceway. Brian Campbell won the race, but Ross Meeuwsen’s runner-up finish was enough to claim the Super Late Model championship by eight points over Campbell. Berlin brings in the dirt for the Showdown on Dirt taking place Saturday, September 12.
Flat Rock Speedway – Flat Rock Speedway persevered despite some iffy weather over the weekend. Steve Cronenwett Jr. grabbed his third win of the year, while Justin Schroeder brought home a second-place finish and claimed his first point title at Flat Rock Speedway. Two Saturday nights remain of racing at Flat Rock Speedway. Next-up, this Saturday, September 5, is School Bus Figure 8 night, and also Street Stocks, Figure 8’s, Road Rage race and Flag Pole race.
Kalamazoo Speedway – Weather halted action at Kalamazoo Speedway Saturday night. Season championship night is this Saturday, September 5, featuring the LKQ 100. Mark Shook owns just a nine point lead over Mike Brooks entering the final race of the season
Norway Speedway – Jordan Ives took the checkers in the Late Model feature at Norway Speedway. Dillon Kralovetz locked-up his first Late Model title, with all champions being crowned thus Sunday, September 6.
Onaway Speedway – Onaway Speedway also had to postpone their season championship night due to weather. This Sunday, September 6 they will crown their season champions and also host their destruction show.
Owosso Speedway – Owosso Speedway was supposed to host the JEGS/CRA All-Star Series Saturday night, but weather forced cancellation of the show. No make-up date has been set. Owosso Speedway is off until September 12.
Springport Motor Speedway – Springport Motor Speedway was rained out on Saturday night.
Elko Speedway – Elko Speedway hosted its Eve of Destruction Saturday night. Late Model racing and more are back on track on September 5.
I-44 – Cole Williams won the Late Model feature at I-44 Speedway Saturday night. Kaleb Allison, Paul Donahue, JC Newell and Paul Jepsen rounded out the top five. Newell currently leads Allison in the point standings by just over 100 points with five weeks of racing remaining. I-44 has a full night of racing scheduled for this Saturday, September 5.
Columbus Motor Speedway – Bobby Justus claimed victory Saturday night at Columbus Motor Speedway. Cody Robinson, Donnie Hill, Jeep Pflum and Chad Pendleton rounded out the top five. Columbus Motor Speedway hosts the Labor Day Championships this Saturday, September 5 with a 50-lap NASCAR Late Model feature. The top three in points are separated by just 11 points heading into championship night with Chad Pendleton in the driver’s seat, Kyle Jones second and Cody Robinson third.
Lorain County Speedway – Lorain County Speedway was off last weekend. They get back on track this Saturday with the Mod-Mania Topless NCMC 50-Lap Qualifier #6.
Midvale Speedway – Point leader Bubba Smith took the win Saturday night at Midvale Speedway with Glenn Gault finishing second, Ryan Tedesco third, Matthew Mills fourth and Bryant Smith fifth. This Sunday, September 6 Midvale features the J.D. Byruder MERS Super Late 75 and Open Modified 40.
Sandusky Speedway – Results not available as of Monday afternoon. Sandusky Speedway is off until championship night on September 19.
Toledo Speedway – Jim Froling brought home victory in the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman feature Friday night at Toledo Speedway, while Mike Young wrapped-up the season championship. Toledo Speedway takes a weekend off before its final two events of the 2015 season. Toledo will try again as the re-scheduled All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness “Fastest Short Track Show in the World” starring the MSA Winged Super Modifieds and the winged Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVBBSS) takes place Friday, September 11.
Dells Raceway Park – Jeff Storm earned his second win of the season at Dells Raceway Park Saturday night. Tim Schendel paces the Super Late Model standings by 42 points over Bobby Kendall. Super Late Models get the weekend off as Limited Late Models are back on track this Saturday for the Labor Day 50.
Golden Sands Speedway – Golden Sands Speedway is off until Monday, September 7th when the TUNDRA Series pays a visit.
Jefferson Speedway – Dylan Schuyler and Brandon Pendleton raced by side by side for the final laps at Jefferson Speedway Saturday night. Schuyler, with a strong white flag lap, edged Pendleton at the line for the win. Casey Johnson finished third, Dale Nottestad fourth and Michael Grueneberg fifth. Jefferson returns to action this Saturday with a full night of racing.
La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway – La Crosse Speedway’s regular season is complete, but they will host a 200-lap endure this Saturday, September 5.
Madison International Speedway – Rain halted racing at Madison International Speedway last Friday night. Cars are back on track this Friday, September 4 for championships night. Zach Riddle holds an 18 point lead over Dale Nottestad in the NASCAR Late Model standings heading into Friday night.
Marshfield Speedway – Thirteen year-old Derek Kraus picked up his first ever Super Late Model win Saturday at Marshfield Speedway. Meanwhile Ryan Hinner captured his first track championship and brought home a second place finish. Marshfield is off next weekend before hosting its annual Fall Shootout weekend September 11and 12.
Slinger Speedway – Steve Apel found Victory Lane again Sunday night at Slinger Speedway, giving him three wins in four weeks at the quarter-mile track. Apel’s win also put him into the point lead by five points over Dennis Prunty with one night of racing left. Season championships take place this Sunday, September 6.
State Park Speedway – MG Gajewski finished his season in Victory Lane at State Park Speedway Thursday night. Jeremy Lepak brought home a third place finish en route to a 2015 Super Late Model point title. Racing is completed at State Park Speedway for the season, except for a 300-lap, $5000 to win endure on Saturday, October 24.
Wisconsin International Raceway – Casey Johnson grabbed his third Super Late Model win of the season Thursday night at Wisconsin International Raceway. Lowell Bennett continues to lead the point standings. He owns a 35 point lead over Johnson and Brett Piontek, who are tied for second. WIR wraps up its regular season this Thursday night.
