Concord, North Carolina’s Matt Wallace rolled the 6W out of the trailer today, went through tech and then set his sights on practice at the New Smyrna Speedway for the first time.  Right off the truck, the car had speed and he led the first two practice sessions, and finished the third session in third running 32 laps in race trim.
He set fast time of the day at 18.351 in session two when the sun was still up, and he a crew chief Clay Rogers decided they had what they needed for Friday, so they made some laps in race trim to get Matt more comfortable with the track for the upcoming 8 days of Speedweeks.
The South Daytona Beach Stingrays Baseball Team will be very excited to see him race Friday Night under the lights, knowing that their car was the fastest in Thursdaypractice.
You can follow the action at tomorrow or check @The BUZZ on twitter for race updates as available.
