Matt Galko of Meriden, Connecticut will be making his Valenti Modified Racing Series debut on August 29 at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT). Galko, who currently sits 12th in the competitive SK Modified division at Stafford, will be driving for car owner Norm Perry in the APE #76 Machine.
“I can’t thank Norm, and the Perry family enough for this opportunity” said Galko”
This isn’t a first time pairing for the two as Matt drove for the APE #76 SK Team at Thompson at the World Series two seasons ago.
“They’re super nice people and fun to work with,” said Galko. “Norm builds the motors in the eNVy Motorsports #25 car so we know each other through that relationship as well, but to be making my VMRS debut, and to be making it at my home track Stafford, is just awesome”
It will be a busy weekend for Galko, as he will be doing double duty that Friday night at Stafford driving the Tim Rowe Racing #3 SK, as well as the APE #76 VMRS car. Then on Saturday he will drive the Envy Motorsports #25 at Waterford Speedbowl (CT) in the SK 150.
“We’re really looking forward to the entire weekend,” Galko said. “Waterford is just such a fun track to drive and I’ve run there several times now with Nick and Krista Verno and the number twenty-five team. I definitely have to thank them as well and all the sponsors with the number twenty-five, along with Tim Rowe and all the sponsors on the number three SK.”
