One of the nation’s fastest growing short track touring series will be showcased live on the Speed51 Network this Saturday, February 16. When the Wheelman Sportsman Series hits the track at Citrus County Speedway (FL), race fans worldwide will be able to watch a live video stream on Speed51.com.

Saturday’s broadcast from Citrus County will mark the second consecutive live broadcast on Speed51 for the Wheelman Series, following the season opener at Crisp Motorsports Park in Georgia.

“I’m really excited about it,” said Steve Dorer, owner of the Wheelman Sportsman Series. “Our Cordele race went really well for as far away as the travel was and the minimal practice our guys had. We had a good group of guys turn out for it and it came down to a last-lap pass. I’m looking forward to this week. I look forward to having about 20 cars at least, and Citrus always puts on a great race. At the end of the day people walk away from there knowing they’ve seen a great race.”

All that is needed to watch the live video stream is a premium (monthly or yearly) subscription to the Speed51 Network. That subscription alone gives race fans access to over 70 select live broadcasts, as well as hundreds of on-demand videos, during the 2019 season.

Since successfully reopening in 2016, Citrus County Speedway has served as a home track for the Wheelman Series. The track has played host to some of the largest fields of Sportsman cars in the state of Florida when the Wheelman Series comes to town. Last year alone, the series averaged nearly 25 cars during their seven stops at the track.

“The combination of the Wheelman Sportsman Series and Citrus County Speedway is one that we’re looking forward to showcasing on the Speed51 Network,” said Speed51.com National Correspondent Allick Jorgensen, a resident of Florida. “The wheel-to-wheel action we’re accustomed to seeing from the Sportsman cars is some of the best short track racing in the country.”

The live broadcast on Speed51.com will be a one-camera video stream with audio from the track’s public address system.

Saturday’s live broadcast is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET or when the Wheelman Sportsman Series main event begins. Stay tuned to Speed51’s social media pages on race day for updates on the broadcast.
