Live PPV Broadcast Announced for 2020 Slinger Nationals

Race fans worldwide will be able to experience the excitement of the Slinger Nationals next Tuesday, July 7.  Speed51 announced Wednesday that the prestigious Super Late Model event at Slinger Superspeedway (WI) will be available to watch via a pay-per-view broadcast for the second consecutive year.

Live video tickets to watch the event are now available to purchase for $24.99, the same price as a general admission ticket for the race.

“The Slinger Nationals have consistently provided some of the most exciting finishes of the Super Late Model season,” said Speed51 Content Manager Brandon Paul.  “When you throw many of the country’s best Super Late Model racers on a fast, quarter-mile oval, the end result is pretty spectacular.  This race truly is a bucket-list race for any asphalt Late Model fan in America.  We hope that those who can’t make it this year will be able to tune in to experience the excitement, and then make their plans to attend in person in the future.”

Last year’s Slinger Nationals featured a finish that stole the attention of the motorsports world when NASCAR Cup Series driver Matt Kenseth prevailed in a thrilling battle with NASCAR Truck Series driver Ty Majeski.

While Kenseth isn’t scheduled to return to defend his crown this year, Majeski and a star-studded field of short track regulars will be contending for the crown.  National Super Late Model stars Bubba Pollard and Stephen Nasse both have the Slinger Nationals on their schedule, with hopes of adding another big victory to their resumes.  They will be joined by a large amount of regional stars including five-time Snowball Derby winner Rich Bickle, defending ARCA Midwest Tour and TUNDRA champion Casey Johnson, Milwaukee Mile winner Austin Nason and many others.

Of course, the list of local competitors at Slinger will also enter the race with hopes of defending their home turf.  That list is led by defending track champion Steve Apel and former Kulwicki Driver Development Program champion Alex Prunty, who have both had much success at the track in recent years.  A pair of young stars will also be in action, with CRA SpeedFest winner Corey Heim and Show Me State Showdown winner Carson Hocevar both planning to compete.

Add all of these names together, put them on the “World’s Fastest Quarter Mile Oval” and you have a treat that awaits race fans all around the world on Tuesday night.

In addition to broadcasting the main event on Tuesday night, Speed51 will begin three consecutive days of coverage from Slinger on Sunday, July 5.  That night, the “Prelude to the Nationals” featuring the Big 8 Series Late Models will be streamed live on Summer Thunder TV.  On Monday, July 6, Speed51 will also provide a live video stream of Slinger Nationals practice on Summer Thunder TV.

All Summer Thunder TV broadcasts, including Sunday and Monday night’s action, can be viewed for free with a monthly or yearly subscription to Speed51. Yearly subscribers also receive 10% off all pay-per-view purchases, including the Slinger Nationals on Tuesday, July 7.
