Limited Late Model racers will be racing for big money Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park as the track plays host to twin 50-lap features for the UMA Limited Late Models. Late Models like those used in the Big 8 Late Model Series will take center stage with some of the same drivers that will compete in the series’ stop at State Park Speedway just two hours up the road in Wausau the night prior.
They will be joined by the local drivers of Dells Raceway Park, led by points leader Nick Nolden, last week’s feature winner Shane Morrissey and a contingent of strong local competition.
The driver recording the best average finish between the two 50-lap races will score a $2,000 check, which is a sizable amount for Limited Late Models. Along with the 50-lap features, they also will have a dash for the top qualifiers that will pay $500 to win. Overall, the night will have a $10,000 purse.
Drivers expected to compete include Jeremy Miller, Michael Bilderback, Jon Reynolds Jr., Michael Ostdiek, Brody Willett and Grant Brown, as well as the weekly racers at DRP.
Qualifying at the 1/3-mile oval in Central Wisconsin will take place at 4:30 p.m. CT and racing will begin at 6:00 p.m. CT. Admission for family night will be $10 for adults 18+, $5 for seniors/students/military, and kids 12 and under are free.
