With temperatures expected to be near freezing, Lee USA Speedway (NH) officials have decided to postpone this weekend’s season opener for the American-Canadian Tour.  The two-day event will now take place on April 23-24 at the 1/3-mile New Hampshire oval.

A look at the weather forecast for Lee, New Hampshire showed a potential for snow showers during Saturday’s practice.  When asked about the potential snow on Saturday, track general manager Bill Callen told Speed51.com Monday afternoon that the cold weather was more of a concern than the precipitation itself.  Temperatures are expected to be around 34 degrees on Saturday and 35 degrees on Sunday.

Due to the postponement of the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup at Lee, the American-Canadian Tour will kick off their season at Oxford Plains Speedway (ME) for the second straight year on April 17.  The event at Lee will now serve as the second of 13 stops on the 2016 ACT schedule.

The schedule of events for the two-day event will remain the same on April 23 and April 24.
