Kyle Larson’s had a dream season in 2020, winning a remarkable 45 races between 410 and 360 Winged Sprints, Midgets, Silver Crown and Dirt Late Models. His season isn’t done just yet however, as he enters the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown.
“Yung Money” is no stranger to Millbridge Speedway, despite this being the first-ever Midget event held at the 1/6th mile. Larson is a two-time winner of the Speed51 Open, one of the crown jewels of Outlaw Kart racing.
He joins soon-to-be NASCAR Cup Series teammate Chase Elliott and Chase Briscoe as NASCAR stars that have entered for the event. Alex Bowman will also have a car competing in the Carolina Midget Showdown with 2019 USAC National Sprint Car champion CJ Leary.
Larson’s success in 2020 has been well-documented. He kicked off the season with a Chili Bowl Nationals triumph, then added 12 World of Outlaws and 14 All Star Circuit of Champions wins to lead both series’. He also added an Indiana Midget Week championship with USAC, won the Hoosier Hundred, and won with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in just his second Late Model start. He most recently swept the Copper Classic last weekend with the ASCS Southwest Region.
Race fans unable to attend the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown will be able to watch Larson take on the rest of the Midget stars taking part in the event on Speed51.TV. More entries will be announced in the days leading up to the event on December 12-13.
