Tire samples from four competitors that competed Tuesday night at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing conformed to the benchmark, according to New Smyrna Speedway officials. The lab used by New Smyrna Speedway officials is the same used by the top racing organizations in the country, including NASCAR, World of Outlaws and Champion Racing Association.
Samples were taken from the winner in Tuesday’s Pro Late Model event, as well as the top three finishers from the evening’s Florida Modified event. Samples from all four racers were found to conform to the benchmark standards as supplied by Hoosier Racing Tire to the lab.
More samples have been taken and will be taken during the week, with results announced accordingly.
The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing continues on Friday, February 14, headlined by the Richie Evans Memorial for Tour-type Modifieds and the 100-lap Pro Late Model finale. The Orange Blossom 100 for Super Late Models, along with features for Pro Trucks, Florida Modifieds and Super Stocks, complete the World Series on Saturday, February 15.
