18-year-old Alan Kulwuicki Driver Devlopment Program Late Model Stock driver Justin Crider form Statesville, North Carolina went into the second CARS Tour race of the season at Orange County Speedway (NC) with high confidence. This may seem odd considering a less than stellar 20th-place finish in the first race.

“I was really looking forward to Orange County because we had a really fast long run car at Kenly and we were running in the top-10 with five laps to go when the shifter broke,” said Crider.

Justin turned that confidence into a Late Model Stock career best second-place finish.

“We had a fast car all weekend.  We were never out of the top-10 through practice, qualifying and the race.  I just kind of rode around the top-five and saved my stuff until about 50 laps to go.  I could see some of those guys in front of me backing up, so I decided it was time to go,” Crider stated.

Justin and the team have a lot of momentum going into Hickory Motor Speedway, a place that Justin has as money laps as anybody, for the next CARS Tour race.

Everyone come out to cheer for Justin as he goes for his first Late Model Stock win.  For more information or to see Justin’s 2015 schedule, visit www.justincrider.com or Justin Crider Racing’s Facebook page.
