Mooresville, N.C. — Current NASCAR K&N Pro Series West points leader, Noah Gragson will make his ARCA Racing Series debut Friday evening in the Crosley Brands 150 at the Kentucky Speedway driving for Mason Mitchell Motorsports driving the No. 78 Alert ID Ford Fusion.
Gragson is coming off of his second win of the 2015 season in the Pro Series West at the Meridian Speedway where he led 176 of the events 208 laps. Gragson earned his first career win this year earlier at the Tucson Speedway.
The 17-year old from Las Vegas, Nevada will participate in the open test session at the Kentucky Speedway Tuesday.
“This year has been a big change for me,” Gragson stated. “I started racing stock cars this year so I’ve had to adapt to the bigger cars and to the different tracks. After winning two NASCAR K&N Pro Series races so far this year, I know how important team work is.”
“Having the opportunity to be making my ARCA debut with a championship winning team like Mason Mitchell Motorsports is a very humbling feeling. Knowing that I am in good equipment is a huge confidence boost for me. My ultimate goal this weekend is to learn as much as possible on and off the racetrack.”
“The biggest track I’ve raced so far in my career is Iowa Speedway which is a 7/8th mile. I’ve been watching video of cars on the track and been playing Iracing but other than that I have an open mind going into it. I know that with the knowledge from everyone at Mason Mitchell Motorsports, I will be able to succeed.”
Mason Mitchell Motorsports has two ARCA wins during the 2015 season at Winchester and the Iowa Speedway. Last year at the Kentucky Speedway MMM finished third with driver/owner Mason Mitchell.
Chassis: Gragson will be behind a familiar chassis for MMM at the Kentucky Speedway, chassis 594 which raced to a third place finish one year ago in this event. The chassis has three prior starts 1 top-five and two top-ten finishes.
The ARCA Racing Series will be back in action Friday evening September 25th at the Kentucky Speedway for the Crosley Brands 150. The race will be live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST. ARCA will also provide live timing and scoring for all on-track activity presented by AM Technical Solutions and Pirate Energy.
