Strong storms swept across northeast Indiana Thursday afternoon, just as cars were preparing to practice for the highly-anticipated “Kenny Wallace 100.” The intense rain forced Speedway officials to cancel the evening’s racing program, and reschedule it for Saturday, June 21.

The postponement will create a domino-effect of other schedule changes for this weekend’s events. Both the regularly scheduled Friday night Short Track Drag Races and the $5 “Family Night” scheduled for Saturday have also been canceled.

That means this Saturday, June 21, the Outlaw Super Late Models will return for a 100-lap Feature around the historic half-mile for a GUARANTEED $10,000 to-win! Plus, the Baer Field Speedway Modifieds will go 50-laps for $1,600 to-win. The Baer Field ARBodies Late Models, Street Stocks, Afdent Dental Mini Stocks, and the Front Wheel Drives will all now have the night off, returning for the “Jon Raney Birthday Bash” on Saturday, June 28.

Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prohibit Kenny Wallace from returning this Saturday, but he did say he would be back on Wednesday, July 16 to participate in the “Three Rivers Festival 100!” Barring last-minute obligations with his NASCAR effort, David Stremme does plan to be back this Saturday.

All tickets sold for June 18 will be honored this Saturday, June 21, as will all pit pass wristbands.
