Race teams and fans are gearing up for 2019, with racing season just around the corner.  Our staff at Speed51.com is also preparing for a busy and exciting new year of racing, which means we’re also looking for short track racing fans, journalists, photographers, and videographers to join our team.

Last year, Speed51.com covered hundreds of short track events in North America, and each year we aim to increase that number even more.  That requires a dedicated staff of team members to bring that coverage to fans all over the world.

While our headquarters are in Concord, North Carolina, we are looking for staff in all corners of the country.  We look to provide coverage of all the biggest events in short track racing, which requires help from all locations on the map.  Whether you live on the West Coast, in the Midwest, up in New England, or down south, we could use your help in 2019.

As a leading authority in short track racing coverage, Speed51 provides aspiring journalists with the chance to place their work on a platform for the most loyal short track racing fans in the world.  Not only can this be an excellent opportunity to expand a resume, it also provides behind-the-scenes access to some of the biggest races in motorsports.

Speed51.com contributors are responsible for contributing to 51’s popular Trackside Now coverage, providing short track racing updates on 51’s social media outlets and crafting unique post-race and featured stories.

There are also opportunities with photographers, who work with our at-track team at each event to provide captivating and unique photo content from races as well as post-race photo galleries.

With the continued exciting growth of the Speed51 Network, there is also ample opportunity for videographers with a passion for racing on the Speed51.com team.

While previous experience in the industry is preferred, it is not required.  More important than previous experience is a passion for short track racing and a desire to work with a talented, dedicated group of individuals covering the sport.
