Another big reward is now on the line at the inaugural Speed51 Super Select on Saturday, September 7 at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN). JEGS Performance has stepped up to sponsor the second segment of the Super Late Model All-Star Race, offering a prize valued at $2,000 to the winner of the segment.
“JEGS has always been excited to work with Speed51,” said John Coughlin, co-owner of JEGS. “Bob and his team are helping take short track racing to a new level. 51’s coverage, along with their Morning Bullring program, is always exciting. When JEGS had an opportunity to work with everyone associated with the Speed51 Super Select we jumped at the chance.”
The driver leading at the end of the second segment of the three-segment event will be awarded $2,000 in JEGS certificates. Those certificates are good for anything on JEGS.com, including their circle track inventory.
This, along with a $1,000 pole award provided by Rowdy Manufacturing and the $1,500 prize provided by PFC Brakes through the Short Track Alliance for the winner of the first segment, brings the potential payday for the Speed51 Super Select winner up to $14,500 in cash and prizes.
The race is scheduled to feature three 25-lap segments, with a 12-car invert following the first segment. However, with the starting lineup for the third and final segment determined by combined finishing order in the first two segments as well as awards in place for segment winners, drivers will need to go all-out over the 75-lap race rather than sandbagging to get a favorable invert.
Between the exciting format and a star-studded field featuring the best Super Late Model racers in the country, this is a can’t-miss event for fans – which makes it an excellent chance to gain exposure for your company or brand.
Numerous advertising routes exist for the inaugural Speed51 Super Select, including a Hard Charger Award, Best Appearing Car, Bold Move of the Race award and just about anything else someone can come up with.
A pair of features will be contested on September 7, one for the Super Late Models and a 100-lap race for the USAC Silver Crown Series. There will also be a 50-lap Super Late Model race that will be open to all drivers to compete in. That race will transfer more drivers into the Super Select field.
Entry forms for the event for both invited drivers and competitors looking to race their way in to the Super Select through “The Open” are available by clicking here.
A current entry list for the event will be released soon.
