GREENBRIER, TN – The inaugural Volunteer 300 presented by Swift Springs is set for October 23rd – 24th at Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbrier, TN.  The race will serve as the final event of the first-year Pro-8 Late Model series, which has attracted cars from more than a half-dozen states in 2015.


“Everyone says we are ‘excited’for an event, but we really can’t wait for this one,”said Jerry Criswell, co-owner of Highland Rim Speedway and  “We want this to be a traditional event in autumn for Pro Late Model racing and we are grateful for Swift Springs support of the race.  This is a true racers style of track with plenty of action no matter where you look and we have a great outpouring of support already.”


More than 30 drivers have expressed interest to compete in the Volunteer 300 presented by Swift Springs at the high-banked, quarter-mile track outside of Nashville, TN.   In fact, a few big name drivers have already added their names to the entry list, including former Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin, former Snowflake 100 winner Hunter Robbins and two-time Snowball Derby winner Augie Grill.

The two day event kicks off on Friday, October 23rd with practice for Pro Late Models and racing for local divisions.  On Saturday, October 24th, it’s last chance race for Pro Late Models, plus racing for Super Stocks, Legends Cars and, of course, the Volunteer 300 presented by Swift Springs.  Racing is set to begin at 7pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday. will bring fans live Trackside Now coverage from the event.
