As race teams and officials work hard for last-minute preparations for the second annual Short Track U.S Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway May 19, leadership for the I-CAR All Star Modifed Tour and the Modifieds of Mayhem Modified tour announced their commitment to develop a positive working relationship.

Through this new relationship, the parties commit to the effort of bringing the open-wheel Modifieds to a common rules package in the near future.

As an extension of that commitment to work together, I-CAR officials announced that Stan Narrison of the Modifieds of Mayhem will be a part of the I-CAR team at Bristol Motor Speedway, serving as Race Director.  Besides his efforts in Modified racing, Narrison is also the General Manager of Montgomery Motor Speedway (AL).

“It’s a great privilege to announce that Stan will be race director for the 2018 Short Track Nationals,” I-CAR owner Dave Muzzillo commented.  “I met Stan at the PRI show last year and within just a few minutes into our conversation I was thinking of how I could get Stan on our team.”

ICAR will be working over the summer on a new rules package for more events where the Modifieds of Mayhem and the I-CAR All Star Modified Tour will be able to race together in the Midwest and the southern states .
